El buen cuidado de nuestra salud es lo más importante. En particular, es vital para aquellos de edad avanzada obtener suficiente descanso para evitar fatigarse. El sueño es la mejor medicina. También espero que pongan su sabiduría para trabajar y encontrar diversas formas para mejorar y mantener su salud.

Illness is not something to feel ashamed of. It is not a sign of misfortune or defeat. Suffering is the fuel of wisdom, and it opens the way to happiness. Through illness, human beings can gain insight into the meaning of life, understand its value and dignity, and strive to lead more fulfilling lives.

La enfermedad no es algo por lo cual sentir vergüenza. No es un signo de desgracia o derrota. El sufrimiento es el combustible de la sabiduría, y abre el camino de la felicidad. Kosen-rufu is a very long struggle. It is a march that will continue over the ten thousand years of the Latter Day of the Law. Therefore, let us advance joyfully and unhurriedly. Activities must not be conducted in such a way that people suffer and become exhausted. Meetings should be short and not too numerous and conducted so that they are valuable and productive for all concerned.

Kosen-rufu es una lucha muy larga. Se trata de una marcha que continuará durante los diez mil años de los Últimos Días de la ley. Por lo tanto, vamos a avanzar con alegría y sin prisa. The fortitude to fight on through to the very end--this strength is not only the basis of happiness, it is also the force by which social wrongs can be righted.

El budismo sostiene que todo está en un constante estado de flujo. Así, la cuestión es si vamos a aceptar el cambio pasivamente y ser arrastrados por el o si vamos a tomar la iniciativa y crear cambios positivos con nuestra propia iniciativa. Mientras que el conservadurismo y la autoprotección puede ser comparado con el invierno, la noche y la muerte, el espíritu de ser pionero y de intentar realizar los ideales evoca imágenes de la primavera, la mañana y el nacimiento.

Buddhism holds that everything is in a constant state of flux. Thus the question is whether we are to accept change passively and be swept away by it or whether we are to take the lead and create positive changes on our own initiative. While conservatism and self-protection might be likened to winter, night and death, the spirit of pioneering and attempting to realize ideals evokes images of spring, morning and birth.

Pasión inspira pasión y la sinceridad llama a más sinceridad. El verdadero diálogo es precisamente este tipo de interacción profunda vida a la vida.

DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT. El presidente Toda solía decir:. "No te impacientes Puesto que usted ha abrazado el Gohonzon, su situación mejorará definitivamente no hay necesidad de preocuparse; seguro que habrá momentos difíciles, momentos en los que se sienten ganas de llorar, pero... siempre y cuando tenga el Gohonzon, su vida se convertirá en brillante y alegre. "Mientras que perseveres en la fe, vamos a ser felices. Nunca debemos dudar, no importa lo que pase, siempre debemos avanzar decididamente, soportando firmemente todas las dificultades y obstáculos en el camino. Esto es la verdadera fe.

DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT President Toda used to say: "Don't be impatient. Since you have embraced the Gohonzon, your situation will definitely improve. There's no need to worry. Sure there will be hard times, times when you feel like crying. But as long as you have the Gohonzon, your life will become bright and joyful." As long as we persevere in faith, we will become happy. We must never doubt this no matter what happens but always advance resolutely, staunchly enduring all hardships and obstacles along the way. This is what true faith is.

El valor de conocer y hablar con la gente es absolutamente crucial. Elegir el diálogo en sí es el triunfo de la paz y de la humanidad.

The courage to meet and talk with people is absolutely crucial. Choosing dialogue is itself the triumph of peace and of humanity.

President Toda often said: "Those of you who have problems or sufferings, pray earnestly! Buddhism is a deadly serious win-or-lose struggle. If you should [pray with such an earnest attitude] and still have no solution forthcoming, then I will give you my life!" This invincible conviction on which Mr. Toda was willing to stake his life inspired the members.

There is no true joy in a life lived closed up in the little shell of the self. When you take one step to reach out to people, when you meet with others and share their thoughts and sufferings, infinite compassion and wisdom well up within your heart. Your life is transformed.

Compassion is the very soul of Buddhism. To pray for others, making their problems and anguish our own; to embrace those who are suffering, becoming their greatest ally; to continue giving them our support and encouragement until they become truly happy--it is in such humanistic actions that Nichiren Buddhism lives and breathes.

Hardships make us strong. Problems give birth to wisdom. Sorrows cultivate compassion. Those who have suffered the most will become the happiest.

Happiness doesn't exist on the far side of distant mountains. It is within you, yourself. Not you, however, sitting in idle passivity. It is to be found in the vibrant dynamism of your own life as you struggle to challenge and overcome one obstacle after another, as you clamber up a perilous ridge in pursuit of that which lies beyond.

The two wheels that carry dialogue forward are a belief that everyone possesses goodness within, and a spirit of unflagging determination to tap and draw out that goodness.

Rosa Parks wrote in her book Quiet Strength: "I find that if I am thinking too much of my own problems and the fact that at times things are not just like I want them to be, I do not make any progress at all. But if I look around and see what I can do, and then I do it, I move on." Youth, and indeed life itself, flashes by in the blink of an eye. That is why it is important for you young people to ask yourselves what you can do for those who are suffering, what you can do to resolve the contradictions that plague society and to boldly take on these great challenges.

Youthfulness is not determined by age. It is determined by one's life force. One who possesses hope is forever young. One who continually advances is forever beautiful.

De Gohonzon
De Gohonzon is het voorwerp van devotie in Nichiren boeddhisme. Nichiren geïdentificeerd de universele wet doordringt het leven en het universum als Nam-myoho-renge-kyo en uitgedrukt dit besef in de vorm van een mandala, genaamd de Gohonzon. In het Japans, go betekent waardig eer en honzon betekent voorwerp van fundamenteel respect.

De Gohonzon is een scroll waarop zijn ingeschreven Chinese en Sanskriet karakters. In het, Nichiren symbolisch afgebeeld het leven staat van Boeddhaschap, die alle mensen bezitten. In deze zin is de Gohonzon niet bedoeld om te worden gezien als een object bestaande buiten zichzelf, maar eerder als een belichaming van het leven en al haar potentie.

SGI leden chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo tot een Gohonzon verankerd in hun eigen huis, als een daad van toewijding aan het bereiken van de hoogste levensstaat van Boeddhaschap. Chanten tot de Gohonzon met een sterke vastberadenheid geeft mensen hoop, moed en wijsheid om de nodige maatregelen te treffen om een leven van betekenis en het ware geluk te leiden.

Men kan nog steeds zingen Nam-myoho-renge-kyo en ervaring profiteren, zelfs als men niet in de buurt, of in staat om een Gohonzon zien. Het meest essentiële element in de praktijk Nichiren's voor het tekenen weer iemands Boeddhaschap is de kracht van een overtuiging

Hace poco Titín estuvo de viaje por Buenos Aires.
El estuvo una semana, yo estuve solo pocos días, y de esos pocos lo vi solamente uno.
Buenos Aires me puede, y a Tito también le pudo.
Quedó impresionado con muchas cosas, entre ellas, las mujeres y su aire y look desenfadado-emancipado.
Sus botas sin que nadie les gritara nada... cosa que no pasaría en E Salvador -desgraciadamente-, las estatuas vivientes de Caminito, la basura de Caminito!!, la carne! como obviar este detalle!, la deliciosa comida y extremo refinamiento de los rest de Puerto Madero...
Anduvo en metro y en "colectivo" se sacó fotos y disfrutó muchísimo. Me hizo la "mexicaneada" pero no pasa nada, es mi hermano y está todo bien.
También estuvo bueno el momento cuando almorzábamos en la plaza Dorrego, viendo bailar Tango y apreciando ese aire único que tiene San Telmo. Lástima que no estaba la feria de los domingos.
Además de compartir con mi hermano tuve el refrescante aire de ver a mi amiga Bea, y a su hija Isabel!!!! dos años! que yo pensé tenía cuatro! juas, estaba tan pérdido que no tenía ni idea cuándo había parido esta querida Andaluza-aporteñá!.
Isabel no me dio ni pizca de bola, salvo un tiny little last moment cuando con su dulzura única tendió un puente hacia mi , y sacó de ¿una cartuchera de lapiceras? una de ellas y me lo dio!!!.  Con Bea quedamos alucinados y con la mirada y el sentimiento complice de que sus sentimientos estaban cambiando, quizá me estaba por comenzar a querer...
A su vez estuve en el Centro Cultural de la SGIAR, de la calle Donado. Para quienes me conocen saben lo importante-crucial-fundamental que es para mi la práctica Budista. Del Budismo de Nichieren Daishonin de la SGI. Pues allá me fui, "cogí" el metro B -rojo creo- y fui hasta dicha sede. Me atendió un chico que ahora no recuerdo el nombre y me mostró un poco de dicho establecimiento. Estaba maravillado y emocionado de estar pisando otra sede de nuestra querida y global organización humanitaria. Más alucinado quedé, flipando! cuando empecé a hacer Daimoku (repetición del mantra Nam Myoho Rengue Kyo) frente al Gohonzon (mandala corazón y base de este Budismo). Mi sentimiento era el de la anágnorisis -esto va para Demartini- que invocando frente a un Gohozon de la Argentina!, nunca antes lo había hecho, por lo tanto estaba profundamente emocionado y lleno de vigor, listo para recargarme las pilas al hacer una hora o más de Dai... fue hermoso, Gracias a todos!.
